Georgia Agriculture Commissioner, Tyler Harper, paid a visit to the HCSD Agribusiness Center last week to take a tour of the farm and specifically its new Meat Science Center. He was joined by agriculture educators from around the state, as well as representatives from Lanier Technical College, the University of Georgia, the University of North Georgia, state legislators, district leadership, and leaders from local business and industry. Superintendent Will Schofield introduced the group to Work-Based-learning student NHHS junior Brock Hunter who led the group on a tour of the Meat Science Center and shared with them the hands-on-learning experience and skills he is acquiring while at the farm. Many thanks to Commissioner Harper for the visit and for supporting the vision of the Agribusiness center and Meat Science Center.
